Using 3D photo-morphing technology, the “Avatarize Yourself” feature allowed viewers to upload a head shot—or select one from Facebook—in order to transform it into a rendition of a personalized Na’vi (the inhabitants of Pandora). Social networks were soon flooded with images of Avatarized users and celebrities.
